The Great Escapists – Everything You Need To Know About Richard Hammond’s New Show

It was only a matter of weeks ago since we last got out a taste of The Grand Tour with the trios brand new special, A Massive Hunt, streaming on Amazon Prime late last year. Since joining Amazon the trinity have also explored their own solo projects with James May of exploring Japan and destroying an old ladies kitchen, Jeremy trying to run a fam, it’s time for The Hamster to give it a go.

Richard Hammond will star in his first solo Amazon project, The Great Escapists, alongside MythBusters legend, Tory Belleci in this brand-new series that fuses pop science and factual entertainment together perfectly.

From the exciting trailer, the series looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun, and has come at just the right time for everyone here in the UK at least. The series is definitely going to bring back a lot of nostalgic feels for kids of the late 90s, early 2000’s as it seems to be borrowing elements from one of Richard Hammonds most popular shows, Brainiac.

But what is the series going to be about?

Whilst on a relaxing fishing adventure, Richard and Tory venture into deep waters, just as the story of the century closes in. The two of them are blown miles off course and crash land on a deserted island. With the boat beyond repair, Richard and Tory quickly realise that the boast components could become key to their survival and ultimate escape.

Over the course of six weeks, we will get to see Richard and Tory conflict over their plans to either escape or make their lives more fun and comfortable on the desert island.

Who is Tory Belleci?
