In 2013 The Office finally came to an end. Like all good shows it lasted to long and we all wish it died as a young baby we used to like. But again, like all dead babies its back from the dead and the internet is filled with rumours that the show is about to make a big comeback. Yeah why not do a few special episodes to catch up with the old gang. So who would return and what would they be doing now?
When we left Dunder Mifflin six years ago we left with fan favourite Dwight Schrute finally living out his dream as manager of the Scranton branch. A dream he has been waiting for since we where first introduced to him in 2005. Keeping him in his dream roll only seems right. Is he still married to Angela? Sure, but it’s not without its problems. Dwight is suspicious that Angela is having an affair with a new member of staff at Dunder Mifflin and is doing all he can to find out the truth.
Andy Bernard had a rough last few seasons on The Office. The writers of the show didn’t do to well without having Steve Carell as the lead and basically just turned Andy into the new Michael Scott. It worked on a small level but didn’t do the character any justice. Bring him back and put him back in the sales team. Him and Dwight for the most part got on and I think Angela would have changed Dwight for the better allowing him to take more chances with his friends and co-workers.
Kevin Malone can not change. He is at the same desk in the same chair eating another jar on M&Ms and now and again saying his classic one liner that will still please fans today.
Kevin can’t be alone; Oscar and Angela are still there helping him out because they both can’t leave him alone. Oscar is happily married to his husband who he has a child with. Angela loves his new child but hates that he is being raised by two gay men and tries her best to become the baby’s mother.
Meredith is more let loose than ever. He son is grown up and doing his own thing. She doesn’t really care anymore about him and is just living for the sake of having fun. She goes to work to have something to do between the nights when she’s out partying and drinking.
Lovely, but complicated Kelly is back at Dunder Mifflin. After failing to love Ryan, again, she comes back to her old job to act as if she never knew him and pick up where she left off in 2005 before Michael ever hired his man-crush temp, Ryan Howard.
Erin is still working at reception and was brought back by Dwight. Dwight originally wanted Pam to come back to Dunder Mifflin but her and Jim are doing their own thing now. More to come on that later.
Dwight secretly always respected Toby but had to bring him down because he wanted to impress Michael. Overtime Dwight realises that Toby is actually as dull as Michael made him out to be and grows to hate him just as much as his old friend did.
Darryl moved himself from the Warehouse to the office and landed himself a nice desk in his own office. He later left Dunder Mifflin and when we last saw him, he was V.P of his own sports brand. So, what is he doing now. It would be strange for another office worker to come back to their old job after six years. Maybe Dunder Mifflin is working alongside Athleap as their official paper supplier.
Jim and Pam where still working at Dunder Mifflin when we left them but I think all fans want them to have moved on and doing their own things. Pam is now a freelance artist who’s booked up all year and Jim is working at a new business as assistant manager wanting the management job. He is the new Dwight. But we don’t see much of them. Maybe the odd episode we check up on them but the show is no longer about them. Sorry.
The same goes of Michael Scott. He is marries with Holly and they have their own kids. Michael and Holly have their own jobs but are semi internet famous thanks to funny videos they post online. Michael also is the star of his own podcast that he brings his old friends onto now and again.
